working in the fitness center…

This weekend there is a 3rd-5th grade retreat going on at Youth Haven so most of my help at the Rec Center is busy working with the kids at camp. That means that today I am sitting in the fitness center at the Rec Center waiting for someone to come in and work out. For the past few weeks the fitness center has been booming on Saturdays, yet today the combination of a UK game and beautiful weather has left us pretty empty. Hopefully this will be a one day fluke and things will pick up next week!

As I was sitting here watching UK play I realized that it has been quite awhile since my last blog and so I wanted to rectify that situation. At the moment UK holds a slim 1 point lead and I am hoping that they will pull it out because I can’t bare another season ending loss to WVU and the ensuing phone calls that will come from my father-in-law. So come on big blue!

This week has been a pretty busy week for us with various meetings here in Lee County and over in Clay County. On Wednesday night we taught our church youth group about the life of Jacob and it really enjoyed our time w/ the kids. In FCA I did lessons with both the middle school and high school students about how both Abraham and Lot knew who God was but chose differently how that would apply to their lives. It was great to get some really good feedback from both groups.

In the week ahead we have a full schedule of events at the Rec Center. Lots of school, bday, and community parties. Also our leagues are really going well and growing each week. With the winter we had our electric bills have been through the roof so please pray that we will do well financially to catch up from very high utility bills.

Lastly, I’ll tell you about my beautiful daughter Maeven. God has truly blessed us and each day it so much fun to see more and more of her personality come out! While she hasn’t quite figured out how to crawl yet, she has figured out that she can roll across a room to get where she wants to go. Once she gets crawling down we are going to have our hands full!

My Family!
