recovering and moving…

Well, we survived another lock-in at the Rec Center.  Over 180 teens attended and we were blessed to be able to share the Gospel with them.  Please continue to pray for the teens as we seemed to have a lot more drama amongst the teens and attitude than in previous years.  Please continue to pray for the teens though that the message and our interactions with them will have made lasting impacts for Christ.

After about 4 hours of sleep I was up and getting stuff ready at the new house.  I painted from about 3 pm until 10:30 pm.  It was a little discouraging as I couldn’t tell if the kitchen paint was going to cover after two coats or not.  Painting for that long and staring at the walls thinking of more hours spent in the kitchen when I really need to be moving on to other rooms got a little depressing.  Thankfully as the paint slowly dried I realized that it was going to cover.  I was also blessed by having my sister Amanda come join me for a few hours.   She taped the upstairs bedrooms off for me and now I will be able to get them painted a lot quicker.

This week is going to be a whirlwind of painting, packing, closing on the new house, hopefully fence installing, and with a little luck moving.  Please pray that all these things go smoothly and for strength and energy as there are sure to be lots of long days and nights.   Have a great week!!
