home for the new year…

For the past several years I have not been at home for New Year’s whether it was a lock-in at camp or one at the Rec Center.  This year we held our lock-in at the Rec Center on the 30th and so I am sitting here at my house blogging while watching a movie with Erin and Maeven.   As weird as it sounds I am really excited to actually see the ball drop tonight on TV.  The last time I saw that I was a teenager!

Last night we had around 148 teenagers at our Lock-In.  And while the lock-in in October was pretty rough with lots of behavioral issues we had a very good group of kids last night and things went really smoothly.  Unfortunately, I have had some health issues this past week and had to go home  in the middle of the night, but it was awesome to know I was leaving well behaved kids in the hands of a lot of  great help!   Also, it was awesome to know that so many kids heard the Gospel last night!

2011 has been a great year, but I can’t wait to see what God has in store for 2012!
