After a fun filled week at the Moody Missions Conference in Chicago, IL, I am finally back home in Beattyville, KY. God really blessed this week and I thank all of you who prayed for us so very much. Yesterday, I had asked you to be praying for me as I presented my Coaching presentation to the students at MBI. Eight students came to my presentation, but they all listened great. Truthfully, I think it was probably the best I have ever felt about the quality of one of my presentations and the students were very engaged. One of the students who came even took an application to possible work at camp next summer!
While there was some issues we hadn’t faced with details of the conference before, this was probably one of the best that we have had with student interest in KMM. Many students came and spent time talking with us about the ministries of KMM and also talked about what role they might possibly have with us. We gave out several applications and even got some back already! While we don’t know if any will come until they are here in Kentucky, it really feels like God is going to use this conference to help with some staffing needs at KMM whether short or full time!
I was also blessed to hear from the speakers this week about what God is doing in Missions around the world. It was great to also hear from the students as they praised God in both music, testimony, and dance. It was also great to be able to spend time with old friends and co-workers and see how some things are changing and others are still like I remember.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to go to MBI this week and was truly blessed. Please keep praying with me that God will take the seeds that were planted this week and that many students will give their lives to missions. Pray that some of those will also decide to come serve here in Kentucky!
