In my last blog post I asked you to be praying for me as I spoke this weekend at Bear Track Bible Church’s service weekend retreat. I really felt your prayers and God blessed with a great time talking to their students and chaperones about how their are no small acts of service. I was able to calm my nerves and share with the students and they listened very well. The students also did a great job of getting Youth Haven Bible Camp ready for the summer camp season.
On Sunday, my family and I met up with my parents, my sister, and a couple of other friends to celebrate my mom’s birthday. We all went out to a Mexican restaurant that she really likes. The highlight was definitely seeing her in her sombrero as the waiters sang their own version of “Happy Birthday” to her. I am so thankful for my Mom and the Godly example she has been to me. I pray God gives us many more years to celebrate with her.
This week promises to be busy as I continue to prep for our annual Golf scramble. If you are a golfer or just want some good food, be sure to come out and support the Rec Center this Saturday at the Beattyville Country Club.
Lot’s to do, so I will write more later!
