For the past few days, I have been absent from blogging due to a busy schedule and many other things taking place. I know I have asked many of you who read this blog to be praying for my Aunt Anna who has been battling cancer for the past several years. In the past few months, the cancer rapidly spread throughout her body and about two weeks ago, we really realized she didn’t have much longer with us. So, for the past week our family gathered around her spending as much time as possible with her before she went home to Heaven. On Friday morning her faith became sight, and she went home, where she no longer felt the pain of cancer.
Having such a large family there are many of our family members who have not accepted Christ as their personal savior. It’s so comforting to know my Aunt Anna loved Jesus and was passionate about her lost family coming to know Him as well. As long as she could talk she was concerned about her family coming to Christ and was telling them about what they needed to do to make their lives right with God.
I am truly thankful for my Aunt, and I am going to miss her and am sad my kids won’t get to know her. However, my Aunt Anna leaves a legacy of faithfulness to Christ, even in the very hardest of times, behind. Thank you for praying for her as she battled this horrible disease. Please continue to pray that God will use the testimony she leaves to continue to impact our family and bring all those she loved into a saving relationship with Him! Pray that today as our family gathers for her funeral that my dad and the other pastors will speak the words from God and that many will make decisions for Christ. God is good, and in the midst of this sad time, I know He can do great things.
