a week of ups and downs…

This has been one of those weeks were you really don’t know if you are going or coming, a week of ups and downs for sure.  Ministry wise it has been a great week as our FCA Clubs have been going really well.  In our weekly FCA Huddles, I talked with our students about how Jesus was “All In” for them even though He knew all the sin they have done and would ever do.  Even more exciting is that today at the Middle School some of our high school students led the devotion!  It is so exciting and encouraging to see them step up and be leaders to our Middle Schoolers.

24. worn out flagOn Wednesday morning was national See You At The Pole day.  Students  and school staff all across the country gathered around their school’s flag poles to have a time of prayer for our schools, students, and staff.  Around 20 of our high school and middle school students gathered at our flag pole and spent time praying for their schools.  It was so awesome to be praying with students who truly have a heart to for Christ and to see their fellow students and faculty come to know Him.  Please keep praying for students that they will be bold for Christ this year in their schools!

Whenever there are high’s there are also lows it seems.  This week there have been many issues going on that have required much prayer and our family has been hit hard by some sort of virus that is going well.  Maeven started the week off with a bug, then Erin and I both got it, and finally on Wednesday Judah took his turn.  Right now we hope we are getting better, but all still feel pretty run down.  As we get deeper into the fall our schedules get pretty busy, so please pray for our whole family that we will get healthy soon!

It’s been a tough week so far, but it has been amazing to see that God is still in control and that He is working!  God is good, all the time, God is good!
