is this worth it???

So, this is going to seem like old news, but for the past year I have been terrible at blogging. I would like to say inconsistent, but when I look back at my lack of posts in 2019, I was just downright terrible at it. Looking at 2020, I am wondering if it is even worth keeping up this site and attempting to blog?

With that in mind I am laying down a couple of challenges to start this this year that I can look back at as goals achieved or failed towards the end 2020. The first goal is that I want to post 3 to 4 times each month. I once read a quote that said the best way to become a writer is to sit down and write even when you don’t feel like it. So, I do want to blog and in order to do that I will have to make myself do it. The second goal is what type of feedback I get from you the reader. I don’t mean superficial Instagram likes for approval, but whether or not I actually hear from readers and see that people are actually reading.

So, is blogging worth it? Is it worth my time and effort? I’m not for sure, but by the end of 2020, I’ll know and you will too. To those who have stuck with this blog, thanks for the encouragement and I hope to do better!

time to get back to it…

bodybyviWell, I have been slacking the past month and a half.  Ever since my last 90 Day Body By Vi challenge ended I have been week and not dedicated to my weight loss goal.  It’s time to get back up and get to being a healthier me.  Yesterday I began my next 90 Day challenge and did really well at sticking too the plan.  I will keep myself accountable to you all each week with a weekly update.  Encouragement is much needed and appreciated.  If you would like to join me on this challenge by Visalus I would love to share with you all about it and have you join.  Hope to hear from you soon and wish me luck!

90 Day Challenge Update – Week 1

bodybyviToday I am one week into my new Body by Vi challenge.   It’s been a tough week with sickness invading the family and tons of stuff going on, but I am happy to report that I am down 3.4 lbs. since I began this new challenge last Wednesday! I am very excited to be moving in this direction again and really want to get more people to join me.  At the Rec Center, 2013Biggest_Loser_Flyerbeginning this month, we are doing our annual Biggest Loser Competition.  So far over 20 people from the community have joined and committed themselves to getting healthier over the next three months.  I hope to be able to convince some of them to join me on my 90 Day Challenge as a way to aid them in their weight-loss and fitness goals.  If you live in this area and would like to join our Biggest Loser contest stop by the Lee County Recreational Center and see me asap!  There is no cost to join and we have cash prizes.  No matter where you live, please consider joining me on my 90 Day Challenge.  Hopefully together we can get healthier!!!

failure and recommitment…

bodybyviI began my second Body by Vi challenge back in November, and ashamedly I am writing you that I have failed.  Over the past two months traveling while coaching, family and friend get togethers, and just plain bad holiday eating habits have done in my challenge.  Whether or not starting a challenge during this time period was overly ambitious on my part or not is not the issue, it’s just that my will power was not strong enough.

So, with the start of the new year I have new fitness goals for myself that I want to share publicly and so that I will be more accountable to get them done.  Last year I lost 17 lbs on the Body by Vi plan.  While this was a good start, I have much farther to go.  I am going to be dedicated and ambitious and by the end of 2013 I want to lose 40 to 50 lbs.  This will take more will power than I have ever used in this area of my life.  Yet, I will do this and must do this in order to lead a better life and be their longer for my children.  The first step for me is returning to my Body by Vi challenge.  Starting tomorrow I am going back on the 90 Day challenge with the goal of losing the first 25 lbs in 90 days.  The combination of lots of exercise and this very good program should do the trick.

I encourage you to step up and join me on this challenge as well.  Let’s begin 2013 together making wiser and healthier choices.  If you are serious please contact me today and I can share about my plan and what Body by Vi can do for you!

90 Day Body By Vi Challenge Update – Week 1

Well, today I officially started my second week of my 90 Day Body By Vi fitness challenge.   I will have to admit the first week was tough. There were times I wanted an ice cream or pizza soo badly at the Rec Center that I had to summon everything within me to resist.  However, I am proud to tell you I have been good I have stuck with my choice to do this challenge and basically start a new healthier lifestyle.  As a result, I am happy to report that in one week I am officially down 5 pounds!

I feel like the eating healthier while tough, has given me extra energy and allowed me to just start to feel better about myself physically.    As a family we have also been doing nightly walks at Youth Haven Bible Camp to help us a long on our 90 Day Challenge.  It’s been good to be able to not only spend time as a family but also to include the kids in our new healthy lifestyle.

Over the next several weeks I am going to keep updating you on my 90 Day Challenge progress and I would like to invite you to join us.  On Saturday, July 21st at 5 pm we are going to be holding a “Challenge Party” at the Lee County Recreational Center.  This is a short 30 to 60 minute party where you can come out and try Visalus “Body by Vi” products and speak with our Visalus rep about any questions you may have.  The great thing is that if you are wanting to do a weight loss program like us you can sample those products.  If you are at your weight goal and want to work on maintaining or toning there are great healthy products for that as well.  Either way we want to encourage you to join us on our journey to better health!  Hope you will come join us!
